Backend Engineer

About the role:

We are looking for a senior engineer who will build and shape our offering and work closely with design partners and customers.

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, multitasker, and demonstrated team-player. You will be a lead developer responsible for the development of new software products and enhancements to existing products.

You should excel in working with large-scale applications and frameworks and have outstanding communication and leadership skills.

Required experience:

- 2+ years experience designing and developing backend systems
- 2+ years experience in Java Stack (OOP)
- Experience with REST APIs and server-side APIs integration
- Knowledge of ORM, SQL and Data Modeling
- Excellent understanding of database systems
- Experience with microservices architecture
- Knowledge in Kubernetes

Responsibilities:

- Writing clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable code
- Develop and support software including applications, database integration, interfaces, and new functionality enhancements
- Coordinate cross-functionally to ensure project meets business objectives and compliance standards
- Support test and deployment of new products and features

- Expertise with Amazon Web Services ecosystem (S3, ELB, EC2, ATHENA)
- 3+ years of experience with tools such as containers, CI/CD, testing / monitoring / logging tools
- Experience in E2E design and implementation of features as part of large scale backend projects
- Experience with mongodb
- Enthusiastic about performant web scale systems
- Experience with redis - an advantage
- Experience with rabbitmq - an advantage
- React, Typescript / JS, Native Chrome extension - an advantage
